NEGATIVE THOUGHTS CAN PUSH PEOPLE AWAY FROM YOU
We all have negative thoughts in the back of our minds sometimes. The secret is to be aware of them and not to succumb to them. It is critical for our long term happiness and success that we are able to recognize when we are thinking negatively and shift our mindset to positive.
In order to help fight the negative thoughts, you should be aware of some of the most common negative thoughts that people struggle with:
“I am not good enough.” - The truth is you are good enough. Think about all the different things you have been through in your life and how you overcome them. The real question you should ask yourself is, “why am I not feeling I am good enough?” Asking yourself that question will reveal deeper truths about your fears. Allow your desires to lead you on a path to feeling good enough.
“It is their fault.” - Blaming others and not being able to take responsibility will keep you standing still. Placing blame is easy, because it means you don’t have to do anything to change. However, accepting where you are without blame, to be able to see the opportunities life is giving you every day, that is what injects life into your story, your relationship and ultimately moves you forward.
“It is easier for them than me.” - It may not seem like it but we all have our challenges. Every person is dealing with different things and difficulties. Remind yourself that on social media people will only show the best parts in their lives. No one will share the difficulties and struggles they are dealing with on social media. The strongest among us are not those who show strengths we can see, but those who have won incredible inner battles we know nothing about. Thinking someone has it easier than you only builds a barrier and will only add negativity to your life.
